Monthly Competitions Are Here!
We are pleased to announce a fantastic new opportunity for you to showcase your talents, skills, and creativity with our brand-new Monthly Competitions! Starting this April, we invite you to participate in these exciting contests and gain well-deserved recognition while having some fun.
What Are the Monthly Competitions?
Each month, we will host a unique competition, offering various themes and challenges to keep things fresh and engaging. From design contests to writing challenges, recipes to DIY craft projects, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Participating in our Monthly Competitions is simple! Here’s how you can get involved:
Check the Theme: At the beginning of each month, we will announce the theme and details of the competition in Hampshire WI News, on our website and social media channels.
Enter Your Submission: Follow the instructions provided to submit your entry. Be sure to adhere to the guidelines to ensure your submission is eligible.
Judging: Once submissions are in, our panel will select the winner. The judges’ decision is final (See Competition Terms & Conditions button at the top of this page).
Every month, we will award a prize to the winning entry. While the prizes are modest, the true reward is the recognition and admiration from our membership community. It’s a great way to gain visibility and showcase your talents on a larger platform.
Get Ready to Compete! We can’t wait to see the incredible entries from our talented members. Keep an eye on the magazine, this website and social media for the first competition announcement. Start brainstorming your ideas and get ready to showcase your creativity and skills.
Calendar Competition 2027
This year’s theme is Water, water, everywhere …”
The theme for the 2027 Hampshire Calendar is ‘Water, water, everywhere …’ Please remember the photographs must be taken in Hampshire. We need a photograph for each month so photos taken in the winter months are required too. We can then organise a 12-month calendar for 2027 featuring your wonderful photography with plenty of space to write in key events.

General Knowledge Quiz
Our Annual Quiz is very popular. All WIs in Hampshire are eligible to join and after local Group heats, the final is held in September.
Skittles
Due to the lack of venues currently available county wide, we have had to make the decision not to hold the Federation Skittles Competition this year. We have heard from a few groups who still have a venue at which their WI is able to play, and we hope that these will be able to arrange a tournament among their group. We will monitor the situation for future years.
