The Great Tapestry of Scotland is one of the largest community arts projects in the world. Handstitched by 1000 people across Scotland it is made up of 164 panels and required over 300 miles of wool. Susan Finlayson was one of the stitchers who helped create the embroidered panels and now welcomes visitors to the purpose-built tapestry visitor centre in Galashiels. Susan will take you on a journey through the creation of the tapestry to its permanent home with a few tales of the things that happened along the way.
