We are Hampshire County Federation of Women's Institutes comprising 203 local branches of the Women's Institute.
Each one meets at least once a month and there is one near you!
As well as the local WI meetings there are county and national events open to all members.
What is the Women's Institute?
The WI is a democratic, social & educational charity.
Every WI provides speakers/demonstrators monthly on a variety of topics decided by members.
Other meetings, crafts, walking, discussion or drama groups, choirs etc., are decided by members of individual WIs.
The subscription is deliberately modest in order to ensure that all women who wish to join may do so.
Events are organised throughout Hampshire and include crafts, arts, sports, leisure and drama, public and
international affairs, leadership and much more.

The Teaching Room at Wl House is fitted with a loop system, if
members require to use it they should advise us in advance of the
event/meeting so that we can ensure the tutor/demonstrator uses the
microphone.
Physically disabled:
If we are advised in advance, we can arrange for a disabled parking
space to be made available close to the rear entrance to Wl House
which has a ramp.
The trustees have sought advice and Wl House is
not able to offer toilet facilities with wheelchair access.
The downstairs toilet is raised and has handrails and lever taps.
We do hope that notification of these facilities will enable more members to visit the house for events or when they are visiting Winchester.
If you have any queries about any of our events, eg timings, accessability, disabled access, please contact the organising committee or the HCFWI Office.
Members who are aware of other things we could do which would help, please let us know.
