Thruxton W I

We are a small,friendly WI, currently with 17 members. We usually meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in the Machin Room, at Thruxton War Memorial Hall. As well as our regular meetings, we organise walks on summer evenings which often end up with a pub meal and enjoy visits to the theatre, as well as other activities suggested by members. We have a day's outing in June, and a Christmas meal in December. We also take part in actitivies organised by other local WIs and the Hampshire Federation, such as skittles tournaments and quizzes.

We run drop in tea sessions on alternate Tuesday afternoons to coincide with visits from the mobile library van. We run a tea stall at the annual village fete on the first Sunday in June.

If you are in the area and would like to visit one of our meetings, you would be most welcome.
