The Worthys WI

Members enjoying a trip on the Basingstoke Canal

The Worthys WI was founded in 1918 and has continued to meet regularly apart from a break during the Second World War. We now meet in the Lionel Tubbs Hall, Fraser Road, Kings Worthy, SO23 7PJ at 2pm on the first Wednesday afternoon of each month except August. In August we have a social event and in October we have an Open Meeting to which visitors are especially welcome. Activities between meetings include – Knit ‘n Natter, Walking, Reading Group, Scrabble, Handbells as well as visits to the theatre and a regular Lunch Club. We are members of the Winchester Group and meet twice a year for joint meetings.
