We meet at 7:30pm on the 2nd Thursday of each month in the Methodist Church Hall in Mays Lane, Stubbington. (Except for July when we will be at the Wheelhouse in Salterns Road, and August when there is no meeting) |

(PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A NEW VENUE as of September 2010.) |

Ours is a fairly small group of about 40 members),about a dozen of whom are founder members from 1983! A friendly bunch, we welcome visitors and new members, and have an interesting and varied programme each year. |

Most months we have a competition relating to our speaker’s subject – and a regular ‘Flower of the Month’ competition too. |

Our main fundraiser is a stall at the annual Stubbington Fayre on August Bank Holiday Monday – we are already busy making things for that- this year's theme will be Back to Basics, so there will be lots of baking, jam making, crafts etc. but you don't need to be able to do any of those things to come along and enjoy the company each month. |

We try to cater for the time between meetings, with get-togethers to make (or share expertise on) a range of crafts – from making marzipan cake decorations to sewing Advent calendars or greeting card making - even christmas decoration Origami!. We also just get together for a coffee and chat. In June, as well as our regular meeting we will have a Strawberry lunch in a Member's garden - delicious ! In July we meet at the Wheelhouse by the sea, just for a change (and the fish & chips !) |

For the more energetic there is the monthly ‘Kates’ Walk’ (weather permitting) led by a member with seeming encyclopaedic knowledge of the most 'off the beaten track' walks in the area. We also have some 'Walks for Waddlers' for the less energetic, down along the shore at Lee, with as many 'pit stops' for refreshments as necessary! |

We belong to the Haven Group of WIs, and take part in the Skittles tournament and General Knowledge Quiz. (No, we don’t usually win – but it’s fun taking part!). |
