About our WI

Have you made new friends this year or renewed old friendships? if you haven't, why not join us at Stakes WI, you are sure to meet new and old friends at our meetings, and
have a great evening out at the same time, our aim is to greet you warmly and to make you feel welcome,do bring a friend with you. You will be surprised how many faces you will recognise.
We meet on the 3rd Thursday of each
month in DEVERELL HALL PURBROOK @ 7-30pm, except August. As well as our speakers, we take part in the Federation Darts matches, Skittles and Quizes,if you enjoy Walking, Holidays and days out these are also on the agenda for the coming year, and many of our members enjoy going to Denman the WI College in Abbingdon Oxford. We also hold an informal meeting on the 4th Monday of each, where members meet to discuss all kinds of topics.
In the Upstairs room of DEVERELL HALL PURBROOK,a 'hands on' evening is held, with craft, produce and many other activities. A relaxed atmosphere, with time for a natter, laugh and cup of tea and biscuit to finish the evening. We also meet for a Knit and Natter once a month, to make jumpers etc: for Zimbabwe any number of subjects are aired to the tune of clacking needles.Once a month also there is a meeting at a local garden centre for lunch, and a browse around the centre after if you wish.
