Welcome to 2008

	The Sherfield-on-Loddon W.I. group hold their meetings at 2.00p.m. in the village hall on the first Wednesday in each month. There is also several other activities going on during the rest of each month giving us a good variety of things to do. There is always loads to choose from- certainly no need for anyone to be bored –or at a loss for something to do!
	Within our group some members meet up for Mah Jong, lovely walks (once a month on a Thursday) as well as crafty things, quizzes and skittles. Several of us have been working this year on a new tablecloth to mark our 85th birthday- and happily I can report that we are nearly finished and will most definitely be finished in time for the day. We have a day trip and a visit to our local theatre organised for April of this year and hopefully more will follow in the coming months. These are all separate to the many choices offered by Hampshire Federation which are usually well supported by our members. It is nice to say that we also double up and share cars as much as possible for these events- which of course helps with friendship bonding as well as helping the environment.
	We have a lovely list published for our 2008 programme- if any of these items appeal to you- please do come and join us, you will be made very welcome.
	We all hope you will find something that will appeal to you. New members are always welcome. Perhaps you are new to the area or just visiting or simply want something new- do come and see us!

February 13th Annual Lunch at BCOT- starting at 12.00noon,our Meeting will follow at 2.30p.m. in the village hall.
March 5th Our Birthday meeting this year (celebrating 85 years) - a talk by Eliza McClelland- "To bead or not to bead".
April 2nd The Newbury Coat- a talk by Mrs. Janet Blight.
May 7th Resolutions
June 4th The work of the British Kidney Patients Association- presented by Mrs. Rosemary Macri.
July 2nd. Summer Party
August 6th Hampshire Air Ambulance
September 3rd. A Tribute to Joyce Grenfell by Mrs. Jennifer Rose.
October 1st. From Cocoa Bean to Chocolate Bar- a talk by Mrs. Dawn Shrives.

December 3rd. Seasonal Table Decorations by Mrs. Ilene Iles.
