Welcome to our programme for 2009

Our meetings are usually held on the first Wednesday of each month in the village hall at 2.00p.m. Sometimes we stray a little and go to other venues- go out to lunch or other activities that are not conducive to the village hall. These changes are always agreed by our members and plenty of notice given so it doesn't present a problem.
We are a thriving group with a good mix of activities to keep everyone interested and entertained. Members are always asked to contribute any ideas they have to the committee which creates a programme that usually suits everyone.
We are not just a 'once a month' group- there is always several things going on throughout each month giving a variety of things to do. Loads to choose from; no need for anyone to be bored!
Some members meet up for Mah Jong, lovely walks (once a month on a Thursday) as well as crafty things, quizzes, scrabble and skittles. We are often invited to other groups within our region- thus enjoying their activities as well.
We have a day trip organised for April of this year and a visit to the local theatre at the end of January and hopefully more will be organised in the coming months. These are all separate from the many choices on offer by both Hampshire and National Federation. Denman College also provides a very wide range of activities for both day workshops and residential. All in all a lovely group to belong to.
It is also nice to be able to say that we 'double up' and share car journeys as much as possible for all events. This helps with friendships as well as the environment.
Our list below for 2009 promises a good year. Do come and join us, a warm welcome as well as a lovely tea is waiting for you!
