Reeves Compton WI was formed in 1971 and first met in the Reeves Scout Hall in Compton, hence the name Reeves Compton. We later moved to the Parish Hall at Shawford. |

Although we have only 34 members we are all enthusiastic about our WI. We meet on the third Tuesday of the month, usually in the Compton Room at Shawford Parish Hall. In July we have a Garden Party at a member's home and, usually, a Quiz Walk and supper in July or August. |

We have a reputation for our friendliness and we try to participate in all County Events. Several of our members have attended courses at the WI's own college, Denman College in Oxfordshire. |

One of our members is a member of the Sport, Leisure & Wellbeing Sub-committee. |

You could be interested in our Institute walking group. As many as 22 members and husbands meet once a month to join Hu on one of his well-researched walks. Hu continues to organise walks so that members can keep fit whilst exploring the countryside. You could do worse than join us! |

Come as a visitor! Who knows? You may wish to become a member. The subscription for 2011 is only £30 which includes eight issues of the WI magazine "WI Life". Where else can you get at least eleven meetings a year for such a small amount? It's a bargain! |
