We are just about to make a start on our events for this special year with our Annual meal. We have trips to the Spring and Autumn County meetings, our local group and AGM meetings, planned as well as a short break in Oakhampton and another in Sinah Warren. Our birthday party will be themed to reflect the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Members will be attending courses at Denman College in the Hampshire Long Weekend. Further events and outings to a variety of venues are in the planning stage. We meet on the third Monday each month at HEDCA, Coombe Road Gosport at 7.30pm. and our venue has disabled access. Our meetings include a competition, usually linked to the subject being covered by our speaker, a flower of the month competition and refreshments. We award a bursary to Denman College every two years, any member can enter the draw for this. A craft group meet every month on the first Wednesday. A walk is held on second Thursday each month, meeting in the carpark at Lee-on-the-Solent at 9am. |
