Welcome to Holbrook W.I.

So far we have had an excllent year with plenty for everyone to enjoy. Our holiday in Norfolk gave us opportunities to travel around Cambridge and Norwich on the Big Red Buses,a train ride on a preserved line and experience the Broads from the water. We have started our walking, cycling and swimming sessions to work towards the targets for the W.I. Triathon. Three members will be taking part in the Race for Life and five members will participate,as survivors, in the Relay for Life (a 24 hr relay) to raise funds for Cancer U.K. A trip to Highgrove House is being planned for later in year. We will be part of the Biggest Coffee Morning in September and attend both the Haven Group Autumn Meeting and the Hampshire Federation Autumn Council Meeting in October. We meet on the third Monday each month at HEDCA, Coombe Road Gosport at 7.30pm. and our venue has disabled access. Our meetings include a competition, usually linked to the subject being covered by our speaker, a flower of the month competition and refreshments. We award a bursary to Denman College every two years, any member can enter the draw for this. A craft group meet every month on the first Wednesday. A walk is held on second Thursday each month, meeting in the carpark at Lee-on-the-Solent at 9am. |
