We are a small very friendly WI in rural Hampshire. |
Hannington lies between Basingstoke and Newbury. It is situated on top of the Hampshire Downs, and is in the North Wessex Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In every direction, the landscape falls away sharply from the village, with the Test Valley to the south and the Thames Basin to the north. The village of Hannington is isolated within the landscape, the nearest settlement of any size is Kingsclere, three miles away. Wolverton, the nearest village, is separated from Hannington by about two miles of open countryside. |

If most, or indeed any of this, sounds interesting to you, why not come and join Hannington W.I. You could even come to one or two meetings on a ‘try it and see’ basis. |
We do join other W.I.’s with supporting issues which concern us but our village and surrounding area is our main focus and mostly and very importantly, we support and care for each other. The greater part of our time is spent in enjoying each others company and we endeavour to make our meetings as pleasurable as possible. |
We would love new members. We don’t mind if you are of the older variety (as many of us are), as we think it is good to make or renew friendships at any age, but recently we have had a few younger ladies join us and it would be an advantage to have more, to keep our group thinking about the future, with new opinions and ideas. |
Why not get in touch, or just come along to a meeting. You would be most welcome. |
