Fair Oak W.I.

THANK YOU FOR VISITING OUR PAGE!

Fair Oak WI now has a membership of 70 ladies covering a wide age range!
We always welcome visitors - both those planning to join us - as well as those
finding out a little more about WI - it is not all 'Jam and Jerusalem'! You are most
welcome to contact me ahead of time so that I can arrange a 'buddy' for the
evening - or just arrive - we would love to meet you either way!
We meet in Fair Oak Village Hall, Shorts Road on the last Wednesday of the
month - 7.15pm for 7.30pm, except in December when we treat ourselves to
Christmas Dinner and maybe July when we enjoy an evening out playing skittles!
Having just successfully raised the money to donate a bench for our local
community we are looking forward to a ceremony to celebrate it's arrival during
the summer!
This February we celebrate our 94th Birthday and our party will be attended by
over 80 ladies! - it is a very popular event!
We also enjoy other regular 'get-togethers' for those who want more than a
monthly meeting:
- Ladies Who Lunch
- Book Club
- Theatre Group
- Monthly Walking Group
A Mystery Evening, organised by two of our members, takes place each June -
last year we made Belgian chocolates - previously we have visited a buffalo farm
and dined on buffalo burgers, been to Clanfield Conservatory and travelled on the
Basingstoke Canal, to name but a few!
Other outings take place as arranged.
So please come and 'give us a go' - we look forward to seeing you!
