We meet in the Memorial Hall, Denmead, on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm, except December when we meet on the second Wednesday. We have over 50 members with a wide age range. There are varied speakers throughout the year including talks, demonstrations and slides shows as shown overleaf. Outside interests in which you can take part include trips to the theatre, games evenings (board games), lunch club and walks around the local area during the summertime. Our competition of the month is loosely based upon the speaker’s subject. And there is also a flower competition each month, for a flower from your garden. We offer a free library for members, with a wide selection of books that can be borrowed. We also hold a monthly raffle and fundraising events are organised at spring and Christmas time. |
