COWPLAIN FORTHCOMING ATTRACTIONS

Cowplain WI meet at the Cowplain Scout hall Padnell Avenue Cowplain. An interesting programme of meetings with some excellent speakers plus interesting craft demonstrations and outings have attracted several new members. Some of these new members have joined the committee bringing with them lively enthusiasm fresh ideas and energy. All meetings start at 2pm

Cowplain W.I was formed in 1954 and very quickly became an important part of life in Cowplain. One of the founder members, now rather frail, continues to keep in touch. There are also several members who first belonged to the W.I. in the early months that it was in Cowplain
Meeting are twice a month at 2pm at the Scout Hall. The first Thursday of each month is the monthly meeting with an interesting speaker and the normal W.I. business and discussion.
On the third Thursday there is a social meeting. The content of this meeting varies from month to month but always there is an opportunity to meet friends and try new skills.

Cowplain W.I. has a very active art group.They meet in the upstairs hall at St Wilfed's Church Padnell Road on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month at 10.30a.m. They have a tutor once a month who introduces them to fresh ideas and skills
The Scrabble group meet at the Borrow Day Centre on the 2nd & 4th Fridays at 2pm
We enjoy varied outings to the theatre, gardens etc.

Cowplain W.I belong to the Purbook Group snd enjoy their twice yearly meetings.
A very warm welcome is given to visitors attending our friendly meetings.
