Welcome to Charlton WI. We are a thriving group of ladies with lots of different interests, not necessarily of the Jam and Jerusalem sort - some of us do have cooking skills, which are displayed whenever we have an open meeting. A group of about 9 members and friends meet in each others houses every other Thursday afternoon, to do our own thing in the craft line, be it tapestry, embroidery or just knitting, and enjoy a cup of tea and a natter at the same time. We also have an enthusiastic walking group, who meet every Tuesday morning, usually trekking locally for approximately 5 miles, with either a coffee break stop half way, or at the end of the walk. Sometimes there are navigational difficulties, but we take it all in good part, and have a few laughs along the way. The monthly meetings held on the second Tuesday at 7.45pm in St Thomas Church, Charlton. Our Coffee Morning is also at St Thomas's Church in the Foxcotte Room is on Saturday 5th April 2008 10.30am-12pm all visitors are welcome. The programme for the rest of the year is as follows. |
