Bursledon Women's Institute

We are a friendly village WI with membership hovering around the 30 mark, and we meet on the third Wednesday of every month at 2 pm in the Village Hall, Long Lane (except for July when we have an outdoor meeting in one of our members' gardens. |
|
We take part, with varying degrees of success, in darts, skittles, scrabble and quizzes, and have craft meetings and a drama group. |
|
Every summer we have outings to places of interest and each month our walking group trot off on a countryside ramble (with blisters to prove it!). |
|
Our meeting range from the sedate (when we have a serious speaker) to the hilarious when our own drama group provides the entertainment. We have a raffle and a sales table, which includes preserves, and produce, and plants, from our own gardens. We have a competition each month, and, of course, the keenly contested 'Bloom of the Month'. |
|
Our field of interests and social events are widened by belonging to the Hamble River Group of WI's. |
|
Our meetings end with tea and biscuits, and lots of chat. |
|
If you fancy a pleasant afternoon in friendly company please come and join us, as we always welcome new members. |
