Heather Hook speaking on Aerial Photography had members amazed at the vast array of excellent photographs she had brought with her. The tales of her adventures when using her camera in a helicopter as well as the showing of the finished results she had captured were all most awe inspiring. |

Andrea Champion introduced the new committee with their allocated jobs. Marianne Dixon gave a report on the Autumn Council Meeting which several members had attended at Basingstoke. Andrea also thanked everyone for their help at the Winter Fair which, in spite of the weather, had been a popular village occasion which everyone enjoyed and had made a profit for funds. Forthcoming events were discussed and names and transport sorted out for the Group Carol Service at Sarisbury Green. The Christmas Winter Walk delivering Christmas Cards would be on Saturday morning 20th December and members were asked to take a name of their recipient to whom they would write a card. |

The Saturday night Barn Dance held with profits going to the Market Hall had proved a tremendous success and the lively atmosphere was thoroughly enjoyed by all those who had been able to attend. The next meeting will be the Christmas Party when members are asked to bring a plate of food to share and a present up to the value of £2 for Santa's sack. Madeleine Selby will be entertaining us with some comic poetry verses. |

Botley WI formed 35 years ago in March 1973 but we have been meeting in our present format for 15 years. Our monthly meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 7.15 for 7.30pm in Botley Market Hall and visitors and new members are welcome. We are now over 60 strong and are members of Bishop's Waltham Group. |

We arrange coach outings; coffee mornings; walks; craft classes and take part in the Skittles, Music and General Knowledge Quiz Groups as well as other events arranged by Hants Federation. The two long containers outside the front of the Market Hall are planted as part of a Community project by the WI and are now wearing their autumn look which was planted with the help of two young lads from Australia currently staying in the Square. |
