ROWLANDS CASTLE WI

We are a very active and friendly W.I. with nearly 100 members and we meet in the Parish Hall, Links Lane, on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7.30 p.m. and we would welcome any new members to come and join us.
Let's put you in the picture on what we do. We have our monthly meetings with usually a speaker, and sometimes our own members will give a talk or the Drama section will entertain. We also have a very active Tennis Group and our Craft, Book Club, Bridge Group and Drama groups meet regularly.
Our programme for 2010 is given below and as you can see there are many interesting evenings ahead. As well as the meetings we have already had a very successful outing to Exbury Gardens where the rhododendrons and azaleas were spectacular, and we are also planning a social Strawberry Tea in the summer Several members have already visited Chichester Festival Theatre to see the production 'Yes Primce Minister' and more theatre and film visits are planned. Another event which has already taken place earlier in the year was when over 70 of us (including husbands) were treated to a 'French Evening'with a most enjoyable french themed Supper (catered for by some of our members) and entertainment given by one of our WI husbands complete with piano accordion and french songs.
As you can see we are a very busy and active WI. Why not come and see what we're about - we have great fun as well as discussions on important matters within our organisation. Many of us regularly attend the Hampshire Federation's Spring and Autumn General Meetings as well as programmes organised by the Federation during each year and some of us attend the National Federation Annual General Meetings if at all possible.
If you're visiting in the Portsmouth/Chichester area we also arrange delicious cream teas in the Parish Hall for visiting groups. Why not join us, just phone Mary on 023 9241 2715 to make a booking.
