LORDS WOOD W I

We were formed 1988 and we have 20 members there are still a few of the founder members and some have returned after moving away.
We meet the second Friday of the month at 7.30pm in the local community centre, except for August. We have our garden party in one of our members homes in July.
We have a varied mix of speakers on a variety of subjects, we ask our members for their ideas so there is something for everyone.
New members will be made vey welcome.
Visitors are welcome too, but there is a nominal charge.
We have a raffle and a members competition each month, and three times a year we have a bring and buy, video, tape and book sale.
We continue to have our monthly video evening held in a members home and they are very popular with tea, coffee and cake in the interval (provided by various members of course).
We have outings thoughout the year, and are invited to other local W.I. events, in turn they come to us, we have a go at the group skittles and must say we haven't disgraced our selves yet.
Our October meeting is our harvest supper evening, with the raffle of harvest things including some lovely bread made by our president.
November is our birthday meeting and December will be our own festive party.
The Christmas Lunches have over the years been very well attended, and we continue to look for new returants to test.
