This years Intercounties Craft Competition
was for a Decorated picture frame made from scratch.
The overall winners were Dorset
and we send our congratualtions to them.
In the Hampshire Federation round the winner
was Mrs Wil Machin of Arford WI
and in second place was Mrs G A Potter of Gosport WI.
Thanks to all the ladies who took part,
all the work was lovely.

The famous Mural is still to be seen in the studio at Denman
The Government, in 1952, gave a wallhanging, designed by Constance Howard
for the Festival of Britain and called "The Country Wife", to NFWI,
who decided to house it at Denman. It is getting very fragile, but
due to the exhorbitant cost of conservation, will be on show
for as long as possible, for members to enjoy

The Hampshire Room at Denman College
is maintained by the Federation and is
just one of the many comfortable rooms
available when staying at the college
